About This City Dacono Colorado
Dacono was incorporated on May 21, 1908. Charles Baum named our City by choosing the first two letters from three ladies' names: Daisy, Cora and Nora to form Dacono.
Dacono is a friendly, growing community of approximately
4,100 people in southern Weld County, 20 miles north of
Denver, Colorado.
This area is also commonly known as the Carbon Valley or
Tri-Town area.
